Saints get plenty of weapons this time around Round 1, Pick 14: Brock Bowers - TE / Georgia
Bowers was one of the most dominant forces in college football the last three seasons. Bowers is a three-time All-American and the only two-time winner of the John Mackey Award for college football’s best TE. He would be an instant starter and an instant contributor and the best TE the New Orleans Saints have had since Jimmy Graham. Despite need on the offensive line, if you have a chance to get a player with upside as great as Bowers at pick 14 at another position of need you would be a fool to pass up on it.
Round 2, Pick 45: Zach Frazier - OL / West Virginia
Frazier is a three-year starter at center for the Mountaineers who has only allowed one sack over the last two seasons. He has the ability to kick over to Guard where he will likely be needed to fill the revolving door the Saints have had at that spot. He was easily the best offensive Collapse

Let’s look at some hypothetical trades that could be made. Not having a third or fourth round pick increases the odds of the New Orleans Saints trading up in this year’s NFL Draft. The Saints do not like to sit and wait till a player drops to them, and this year should not be any different. They could use their copious amounts of day three picks to trade up, but there is another way to acquire earlier picks. On draft night, we have seen some trades over the years that include players for picks, but not too many. I wanted to see what players could be traded away from the Saints and what they would get in return.
James Hurst

Although this might not be the most exciting trade, there is a high potential for it to happen. James Hurst has been a pure backup offensive lineman for the Saints and never made the important impact that fans hoped for. Hurst was supposed to be a backup who could play Collapse

Recent ranking reveal that the Saints are set to tackle the 3rd easiest schedule of the 2024 season. In the intricate chess game that is the NFL schedule, the New Orleans Saints have found themselves in a promising position for the 2024 season. Recent rankings reveal that the Saints are set to tackle the third easiest schedule among all NFL teams this year, offering them a potentially advantageous path to success.
According to the Pro Football Network rankings that came out earlier this week, the Saints have the 3rd easiest schedule behind only the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Chargers. The strength of schedule is a metric often scrutinized by analysts and fans, serving as a barometer of the challenges awaiting each team throughout the season. While every opponent in the NFL poses a formidable threat, the Saints’ ranking as the third easiest schedule suggests a series of matchups that, on paper at least, could play to their advantage.

Saints address their biggest need in round one. The NFL Draft is just over a week away now, and a lot of prospect visits are wrapping up, so we have a bit of an idea about what positions each team is eyeing as we get closer to draft day.
The New Orleans Saints main visitors have been offensive and defensive linemen along with some pass catchers, so that should tell us where their mind’s at going into this thing, but truly, you never know what’s going to happen.
Despite that, I’m going to take a stab at trying to figure out what the Saints will do in this year’s NFL Draft.

An interesting decision at a glaring need. NFL Network’s very own Peter Schrager just recently put out his first mock draft of the year, which includes many intriguing selections.
Schrager has the New York Giants moving up to take Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy at no. 4, the Indianapolis Colts moving up to no. 9 to select LSU receiver Malik Nabers and even the Minnesota Vikings staying put at no. 23 and taking Oregon quarterback Bo Nix in Round 1. How fascinating would these moves be? Very.
But because we cover the New Orleans Saints of course, let’s dive into Schrager's selection for the team and hear what he has to say about the pick:
Pick 14: OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State
Fuaga is a tackle, but could play anywhere on the offensive line if needed. This one might be met with shrugs in New Orleans, but I can see this as a franchise-cornerstone selection by the Saints’ brass. The Oregon State product has a mean streak and a motor that Collapse

1.14: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
I don’t even know how this happened.
This will almost NEVER happen, but Jayden Daniels wearing the Black and Gold would be a ton of fun. Pairing him with an elusive back like AK and pass catchers like Chris Olave, Rashid Shaheed, AT Perry, and more would elevate him to a new level very early in his career.
I know people are worried about his pressure-to-sack ratio, which is very high, but I feel like Daniels will adjust his game in the NFL to where it doesn't become as much of a factor.

Corley is a second round prospect who’s been getting a lot of hype recently. Heading into the 2024 NFL Draft next week, the New Orleans Saints have a few needs. Obviously, the biggest need is offensive tackle, which the team will likely (hopefully) address in the first round.
Once they get to the second round, there are a few different routes they could go: defensive line or pass catcher. We’ve already highlighted some second-round receivers such as Keon Coleman, so I thought today we’d take a look at another receiver who’s gaining a lot of traction recently: Malachi Corley.
